His Beatitude Sviatoslav Visits Bishop Filevich Ukrainian Bilingual School
His Beatitude Sviatoslav and Bishop Michael Smolinski visited the Bishop Filevich Bilingual Ukrainian Bilingual School in Saskatoon, which has over 270 students, including newly arrived Ukrainians. Students of the Ukrainian bilingual program at Bethlehem Catholic High School also attended the meeting.
The Primate wished all the students to make the most of their time here in Canada to learn a lot and make this world a better place.
He then addressed the teachers and parents. “I am very grateful to the parents and teachers who impart not only knowledge to these children, but they also give their hearts. A school can offer not only a range of knowledge. It can also educate a genuine person. Therefore, I wish for this school and these teachers to bring up genuine individuals, well-rounded individuals and good Christians,” said His Beatitude Sviatoslav.
The Patriarch called attention to the daily shelling of Ukraine, which brings new victims and deaths. He urged the faithful to pray for those who remain in Ukraine.
