Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year
Welcome to the start of the 2024-2025 school year at St. Thérèse of Lisieux! We are thrilled to open our doors and begin another exciting year of learning, exploration, and growth together. The first day of school will be on Tuesday, September 3rd for the morning only (8:40am to 11:40am) for students in grades 1 to 8. Kindergarten students will follow the staggered schedule emailed to them. The bus service will be running with the modified schedule, so those students taking the bus to school will be transferred home after 11:40am.
To manage traffic flow on Tuesday, September 3rd students in grades 1 to 8 will meet behind the school on the tarmac and report to their grade level location posted. With the increased enrollment we will stagger entering the building on the first day.
Bring all school supplies on the first day of school and a snack!
NEW Parking and Safety Guidelines:
As the new school year begins, we want to inform you of an important change regarding parking at the school. Due to an increase in the number of staff that work at St Therese and the safety of our students and the community, the school parking lot will be reserved for staff use only. Parent drop-offs will no longer be allowed in the parking lot during peak hours between 8:00-9:00 AM and 2:30-3:30 PM.
Visitor parking spots will be available at the front of the school for parents outside of the restricted hours We encourage all students to use the crosswalks to enter the school property and to avoid entering the parking lot at any time. This change is being made to address safety concerns due to increased traffic and congestion in the parking lot.
We understand that parking can be challenging, particularly during drop-off and pick-up times. We kindly ask for your understanding as we prioritize student safety. Parents are advised to use street parking, which is limited. Additionally, we encourage students to walk or bike to school whenever possible.
Please note that parking lot signage may not yet reflect these changes, so we appreciate your cooperation as we implement these new safety measures.
