About Our Catholic School Community Council
The Sister O'Brien CSCC (Catholic School Community Council) is comprised of parents or guardians who have children attending Sister O'Brien and members of the school community. The mandate of the committee is as follows:
• To create an atmosphere for good communication between the home and school and, to keep parents informed of its activities
• To identify specific needs and thus set up programs, which fall within the guidelines of the Greater Saskatoon School Board and the Ministry of Education, to promote and assist in the educational, recreational, and spiritual development of the students.
• Develop shared responsibility for the learning success and well-being of all children and youth
• Encourage and facilitate parent and community engagement in school planning and improvement processes.
• Provides guidance and direction from a lay perspective to the school, the school board and community organizations and agencies.
• To raise funds for the carrying out and furthering of the Council's objectives and to dispense these funds into the appropriate areas for the betterment of the school, families, and community.
