Dear Prospective Families,

We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to inform you of an important update regarding our enrollment policy here at St. Lorenzo School.

After careful consideration and in an effort to best serve our current students and their families, the GSCS board has implemented some changes for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Starting in September of 2024, new registrations from the Kensington neighbourhood will be split between Father Vachon and Bishop Roborecki Schools. Families who live SOUTH of Diefenbaker Drive would attend Father Vachon School while families who live NORTH of Diefenbaker Drive would attend Bishop Roborecki School. Busing to the appropriate school will be provided.

Families from Kensington already attending at St. Lorenzo will be permitted to continue attending at St. Lorenzo, as will any members of the same household who subsequently register in future years.

This decision was made to ensure that we can maintain the quality of education and support that our current students deserve. By focusing on families within our immediate community, we aim to foster a strong sense of belonging and connection among our student body and their families.

We understand that this change may impact some prospective families, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. However, we believe that this adjustment will ultimately benefit both our current and future students by creating a more cohesive and supportive learning environment.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy change, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to assist you in any way we can.

Thank you for considering St. Lorenzo School for your child’s education. We appreciate your understanding and support as we continue to strive for excellence in all that we do.

At St. Lorenzo Ruiz Catholic School, we always want to make sure your child is set up for success. In order to do this, it is important for the principal or vice principal to have a phone meeting parents or guardians to begin developing a relationship of cooperation in the education of our students.

We often call the previous school to get to know their learning needs of your child better.
