HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Badminton! Badminton! Badminton!

Badminton season is right around the corner! There will be an Information Meeting this Thursday at Lunch in the Wrestling Room for any Junior or Senior players interested in playing. Bring a friend! Sign-up sheet is located outside of the gym! Season starts right after the break. BADMINTON!

 

1739217025595.jpeg Youth Alliance Circle – YAC will be meeting on FRIDAYS at lunch in room 110. Join us for snacks and conversations about social justice and activism- all are welcome! See Ms. Cassidy or Ms. Nakutnyy for details.

Well then come join us on Wednesday, February 12th at 3:30-4:30 in the basement drama classroom for DANCE CLUB! This is a drop in club where you can learn about different forms of dance (I.e., HipHop, Ballet, Jazz, etc.) This club is open to everyone, no matter your dance experience! If you have any questions, come see Mrs. Gabby in 116!"

We're hoping to have lots of women in our building feeling confident and competent in the gym and create a safe space to be active.

Grad Photos will take place on:

  • Monday, February 10th – 10:00 am through 3:40 pm
  • Tuesday, February 11th – 9:00 am through 3:40 p
  • Wednesday, February 12th – 9:00 am through 2:40 pm

Sitting fee is $35.00/student.  Edge Imaging supplies 3-4 different backgrounds and photograph 15-20 different poses.  Edge Imaging will supply the gown, sash, cap, diploma prop, table prop, book prop and red roses prop.

Orange Shirt Day

1739217025703.jpegOrange Shirt Day is the last Friday of each month. The next Orange Shirt Day is February 28th.

Nutrition Program – Every morning there are breakfast items available by the cafeteria kitchen doors. Help yourself to cereal, toast, or fruit. There is soup and other items available in the cafeteria on the tables at the beginning of the lunch hour. 

U of S Initiative - The Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Immunology Student Association is putting on an event called the Women in STEM Panel. There will be 8 women who are either PhD Students, MDs or PhDs/professors who are sitting on the panel to talk about their experience as a woman in a science. If you are a high school girl interested in Science, this may be for you. There would be a Q&A session, so it would be a great opportunity for especially those entering university soon and thinking about their future careers. It'll be held virtually on Feb 12th from 3:00 to 5:00. See student services for more info if interested. 

Are you thinking about applying to the University of Saskatchewan? Do you need help with your application? Do you have questions about programs that you want answered? On Wednesday February 12th, at 11:00, we will have a recruiter from USASK at ED Feehan to help answer any questions.  

The doors at the top of the stairs (north end of school) are locked in the morning after classes start. Please use the main stairwell or south stairs after the start of the day. 

Locker access

The upper level and lower square will be locked at the end of the day so there will not be locker access after 3:30. If you are doing extra-curricular activities after school, make sure you get all the belongings you need from your locker afterschool. Thank you.

Our School Nurse is Jen, RN, BSN. She is here at E.D. Feehan on Wednesdays from 1:00 - 4:00 PM. All visits with the school nurse are confidential. The school nurse can help you with:

    • Confidential one-on-one student supports with medical & health related matters.
    • Referrals to other community agencies / supports.
    • General first-aid 
    • Confidential pregnancy testing and other supports as needed.

Students are also able to text the school nurse at 306-250-5906. Look for the school nurse sign in the hallway and stop in to say hello.
