High School Noon Lunch Supervision Fee

For the 2024-25 school year, a per-student fee of $22.50 per year will be charged for students attending Saskatoon high schools. This cost will be added to student fee invoices and can be paid using MySchoolBucks.

This fee reflects a 10 per cent reduction to compensate families for supervision days that were lost last school year during teacher sanctions.

This cost-recovery fee helps cover the expense of supervision that is not funded by provincial operating grants. In the past, the division absorbed this expense. Inflationary pressures have forced the division to make difficult financial decisions, including the addition of this fee.

The level of supervision needed for high school students (compared to elementary students) is different, but they still require monitoring and supervision. The modest fee reflects that and the fact that some students only occasionally spend lunch at school.
